Following years of research and early implementation of pLTE networks, Sigma Wireless signed a partner agreement with Nokia in 2020 promoting their pLTE, 5G and other technology portfolios.

This agreement, based on global standard protocols and interfaces as defined by 3GPP and related standards & industry organisations, will allow Sigma Wireless to provide outstanding end-to-end solutions to clients. The company will also be able to select best-in-class components from other complementary vendors across core, transport, edge, RAN, applications, network management, orchestration and automation, and devices, where these are a better fit for user requirements.

Sufficient, appropriate spectrum resources are required to implement private networks providing real-time, mission-critical mobile broadband services. A wide range of coverage options are likely to be required in many cases, including indoors and outdoors, campus, city-wide up to wide-area nationwide service.
